Onelia Mendive

Onelia is a student at the University of Miami pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology with a minor in Classics, Law and Politics. Onelia first became interested in community work at a young age as she assisted with coordinating book and food drives for students at her high school. Her interest in disability rights grew during her freshman year in college. As a student with a disability, she believes it is important to educate the public about disability and how disability interconnects with life. Her goal is to become a public interest lawyer with a special interest in disability or housing rights.
