Kennedy Robinson-Birt is the Director of Multicultural Student Affairs at the University of Miami, where she facilitates and coordinates a variety of diversity education programs and serves as an advisor and mentor to student leaders. Kennedy specializes in social justice training, anti-racism, Inclusive leadership development, student advocacy, program development, engagement and mentorship. Having a history of presenting and training higher education practitioners, non-profit organizations, operations and the young leaders of tomorrow, Kennedy has made it her mission and passion to educate and activate communities around equitable practices. Her impactful contributions have earned her numerous awards, including Outstanding New Staff Member of the Year, 2023 Advisor of the Year, the 2023 NAACP Chairman of the Year Award, and recognition in Legacy Magazine’s South Florida Black Leaders of Today and Tomorrow 40 Under 40, and Valdosta State University Alumni of the Year. Kennedy also founded Breaking Ground Consulting, offering training on interfaith, racial justice, and diversity education, further advancing her mission to create inclusive communities. From the start of her time in higher education, Kennedy has created countless training programs, strategies for inclusive communities, and intentional programmatic tactics that increased the support and development of multicultural and diverse populations. Her passion for social justice extends far beyond higher education in that she actively supports young students of color through several community organizations.
