Gayathri is currently a student at FIU where she is pursuing her master’s degree in International Real Estate. As a high school student she began her own non-profit organization, Hygiene for Women. Hygiene for Women strives to eradicate period poverty and stigma through service, education, and advocacy. Having started Hygiene for Women at the national level, she has been able to provide monthly hygiene products such as pads and tampons to local shelters and rescue missions in lower-income areas. Hygiene for Women also makes it a mission to provide internationally to third-world countries. So far, they have been able to provide products to shelters and orphanages in India, Peru, Sri Lanka, and Mexico.
