Shameaka Etienne

Shameaka is a soon-to-be graduate of Miami Dade College where she is pursuing her associate’s degree. She is a Miami native with proud Haitian roots. Shameaka considers herself an avid learner and someone who is always seeking a challenge. She is passionate about serving those around her along with her community. Shameaka has participated in a variety of volunteer experiences within her community. In 2023, on MLK day, she worked alongside park officials and other volunteers to plant a community garden. She also engaged with the Good Shepherd Psychiatric Consultant, INC. to conduct a food drive that aided less fortunate people in her community. She believes that even small acts can help create a happier environment and community.
