Lorne Hubert

Lorne is a student at Northern Illinois University majoring in economics. Upon graduation in fall 2024, he will work toward a master’s degree in education. He serves as a mentor for the Common Ground Foundation, founded by Academy Award Winning artist, actor, and author Lonnie Rashid Lynn also known as “COMMON” and Dr. Mahlia A.Hines, his mother. As a passionate recipient of the support they provide young people to pursue their goals, Lorne values giving back to others in his role as a program facilitator. Lorne is also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, where he serves as the treasurer. He values honesty, altruism, and respect and is working toward his ideal of having more loving and understanding communities in the world.
