Dr. Ronald Wabomnor serves as the Dean of Students at Florida International University, overseeing student support and behavior services. As an administrator in higher education, he’s dedicated to creating access opportunities through leadership development, mentorship, advocacy, and policy management and creation. Ronald has chaired assessment committees, served on bias incident taskforces, engaged in intergroup dialogue, and implemented initiatives that supported student success. Prior to his current role, he spent 8 years at the University of Miami in Housing and Residential Life, playing a variety of roles from resident director to director of residential life where he oversaw conduct, care, and administration. Ronald was born in Lagos, Nigeria but grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and calls both places “home.” He earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology and minor in pre-law from Eastern Illinois University, received master’s degree in public administration from Southern Indiana University, and has his doctorate in educational leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. Ronald enjoys spending time with his wife, Vanessa, and their baby girl, Kennedy.
